This quite detailed tutorial shows you how to create a fake software box in photoshop. You can also use it in Macromedia Fireworks, although not all the options will be in the same place. This is good if you are selling software as it “gives off the impression that you are an established business and is an asthetically pleasing way of presenting your software or application“.
