Could the Revolution be sold for $99?

A lot of speculation has been going around that the Nintendo Revolution could be sold for $99. That would be around £52, but knowing how the UK gets everyting dearer it will be around £69 if not more. If Nintendo were to be as bold to put the price down so low then it would ‘excuse’ them from the console race. That price tag would put it in its own class so it wouldn’t have to compete with the other consoles. Oh, and Nintendo would never sell the Revolution if they were to loose money, so if it was at $99 then it would be considerably the least powerful of all consoles. I don’t think Nintendo were to do something like this, and this rumor is only here to discourage people from buying a PS3 and/or a Xbox 360.
