Xbox 360 Errors: It’s begun…

Xbox 360 Error Screen

So you know how I mentioned a while ago that someone spotted the 360 crashing in Wal-Mart, well now someone has actually experienced it on their retail version of the 360.

Some early adopters are discovering that waiting on line in the cold for two years to snag a box was the least of their problems: the game consoles are allegedly crashing during a variety of games and reporting a range of error messages. There’s even a pic up on flickr that purports to show the 360 crashing as the Microsoft logo loads.

I hope that this is just a one off to people who have 1st Gen 360′s. Like with the original Xbox Microsoft will fix minor problems and release them as a newer ‘version’ (seen in the about settings of the original Xbox). Even with that it shouldn’t really happen. Maybe it was because of the cold? Who knows, either way Microsoft better get this sorted out quickly or there maybe an epidemic. I wonder if this is just an anomaly or will we be seeing it here in the UK come December 2nd?

UPDATE:Microsoft spokeswoman Molly O’Donnell told Reuters, “We have received a few isolated reports of consoles not working as expected.” She went on to say that, “With any launch of this magnitude, you’re bound to see something happening.”” [LINK]

  • 360 sucks and this shows it everyone who bought one should die from parvo, REVOLUTION FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • your clearly a noob. 360 > revolution. actually seeing gameplay > seeing controler. me > you.

  • U guys clearly haven’t heard of the Ps3′s super chip, have u?? It can play all its game in full on, real life graphics, leaving the 360 and revolution in the dark. I do agree that the Xbox 360 is a good console, for now, as Microsoft decided to release it early, before christmas, and Sony and Nintendo are seeing the Xbox’s errors and making their console the best. Therefore, the Ps3 will be the best console out but in 2nd place, in my opinion, will be the Revolution, followed by the 360.

  • We’ve heard of it, but no-one has actually seen it work in real life, have they? No, the screenshots and everything else was pre-rendered meaning it will be what it should look like, but not what it will be like.

  • Oh come on, stop the childish bikkering =/ . The Revo and PS3 aren’t even out yet; it’s not even clear what the revo will be able to produce, neither have its specs been published. Although, with the PS3′s specs being published, and Sony’s budget, the PS3 will be king in theory, it’s about the games =)

I have a 360 (getting back onto topic) and I got a faulty HDD, keeps giving me error 67 when I attach it. M$, I will admit, are still noobs at making consoles but all console companies gotta start somewhere; some start better than others =) *peeks towards nintendo*

  • Tyreal, I have a 360 and have been using it from nearly day to day (i got it for christmas) and there is no problem with it. No crash, no freeze, no lag on Xbox 1 game. Maybe the console you got was just part of the few units that has problems. Sorry to hear about your bad experience, but just because something went wrong doesn’t mean MS are noobs.

  • Instead of ripping on people, help them you tards! I am tired of searching on google for topics on help and all I find are tards like you saying this crap. Or, sometimes, saying that the problem is already posted somewhere and to Google it. Well, I do, and this is what comes up. Fucking Retards. All you do is post shit. This is a pretty crappy post in itself, but you guys had already ruined it.
