Right, I have started some modification of the blog to make it better. It will take me a while and you can see the progress at the top of the main page. I have quite a bit of work to do and most of the problems are with Internet Explorer. Yes, that horrid browser that lacks lots of CSS capabilities. I’m not much of a web designer or coder, so if I eventually give up because it is too hard (it really is hard) then my last hope will be asking you to switch to Firefox. I will try to fix as much as possible, but you have to understand all the problems it is causing me, especially how the site doesn’t look to good in IE. Please, please switch, not just for the site but for your safety (so you don’t get affected by the mountains of exploits there are for IE). I have outlined a rough to do list of what needs to be done.
Done – Fix Flickr images on Archives page as it is displaying a huge gap. IE, Firefox and Safari
Done - Fix Flickr heading on IE as it is displaying an incorrect size, too big. IE Only
Done – Convert PNG images to GIF because IE doesn’t support PNG transparency. IE Only
Done – Fix sidebar and posts as they are misaligned. IE Only
This is the list so far, I will try and iron out as many as possible. But Get Firefox anyway!
It’s not that hard Balazs. Don’t forget Safari either, it’ll need to work in that as well.
Try taking a look at the site in IE, I have no idea why the sidebar is so messed up, and Ben I’m no design geek so I wouldn’t have much clue!
