iWeb – A short review
1 Comment Published January 17th, 2006 in Apple, Software, Technology, Web 2.0A few days ago I purchased the new iLife Suite. It arrived and I have spent the weekend exploring some of the new features in this year’s edition. I was most interested in the new application, iWeb. The old applications have been upgraded, but not modified enough so that a user of a past version would experience any trouble. So, this is strictly a review of iWeb so that you can decide for yourself if this new package is worth your money.
I would buy iLife ‘06, but seeing how I’m 15 and I’m trying to save up for the MacBook Pro, I can’t afford it, nor will I use it that much. But iLife ‘06 does have some really cool new features (such as the new themes that you can add to iMovie – they look great!). iWeb seems like a pretty basic application that you can use to create a cool looking blog / photoblog. I would consider it to be usefull to the new people who don’t want to buy a domain and just want to try it out.

iWeb produces some rather horrible HTML markup though.
Much like Dreamweaver, although not quite as bad as Microsoft Word-created pages.
