Take a peak inside Nissan’s Xbox 360 car

There are a few photos on a CNET post that show the inside of the before mentioned Xbox 360 car called the ‘Urge’. I don’t know why Nissan planned such a thing, it is really strange. It is obviously not playable from the driver’s position (unless in a parked position), however it is still interesting of why? The screen seems a bit too small for HD gaming, or gaming at all from the likes of those seats.
Players can use the car’s own controls, including steering wheel and pedals, to drive the on-screen action, which can be viewed on a small LCD that flips down from the roof.
But why would you need to simulate driving if you are already in a car. Ok, maybe it is more comfortable, but would you arrive at work 10 mins early just so you can play Project Gotham Racing 3 or Need for Speed: Most Wanted? The design of the car itself isn’t too bad, but I presonally don’t like the colours.
I think it will probably remain a ‘concept’ car and not go into production (or only a few would be made for the rich).
