Dont worry about the camera it is a decent one, trust me its like sony’s Eyetoy, As sony’s Eyetoy uses a 2dimentional motion detector its is a pretty basic camera almost as basic as the first web cams that came to our computers, but as for the Microsofts Xbox live vision camera it uses a 3dimentional motion capture software I am unsure of how it works but put it this way, the camera would be the top of the range web cam you can by on the market nowadays. Also the tubular lens has a purpose, instead of having to going to a system setup to just adjust the focus microsoft just made a manual focus by turning the tube simple but a good idea in the long run…..all you now need to do is find a place where to put it!! and try to find a free usb port too lol

The camera seems a bit shabby and cheap. I wonder whether you’ll get some decent image quality from it. I don’t like the design of it, reminds of an old tube TV. I still want to try it out though, probably not that bad!
