Hey there,

I think the iTV should have the ability to transmit cable signals to computer, and a new version of iTunes that allows one to record TV shows!

Check out my blog post: http://www.jeremydavid.com/letters/?p=39

Would love to know if the device will allow streaming of TV shows, broadcast to Powerbooks, Macbooks. I would like to know if it will work both ways (content on macbooks is displayed on TV, TV can be displayed on Mac.).
Sony has a product that allows TV on your powerbook, and it is now mac friendly.

I think iTV (the code name for whatever it'll be called) is going to be a big hit. Everyone enjoys downloading music from the iTunes library, but at the same time, almost everyone's entertainment center (the TV and it's components) has the best sound system hooked up to it these days. With Apple aware of this, and making this device, I feel consumers will want to purchase this item. This item will allow them to use there living room TV with surrond system to listen to music, watch photo slide-shows, and at the same time, watch movies they purchased from iTunes that has a much better resolution. The only things I wish they would do with this it allow you to (A) hook up an external hard drive to this so you can pull from saved documents and files off of that, and (B) allow you to browse the Internet since you are already hooked up to the network in your house. But time will tell on what the final product may look like.
