Green my Apple is a great campain. I think Apple computer should be a leader in enviromentally friendly computer products. But Greenpeace has been known to overstep their bounds to try and get attention, and I am willing to bet that the Mac Expo is yet another example.

This is not only Apple's problem, it is Intel's, Toshiba's, Samsung, Sony, and everyone else who manufactures products/components for Apple.

Generally (especially in the US) it is up to manufacturers and government to determine what enviromental impact their products will have on the enviroment.

If Greenpeace wants to make some positive headway they could consider the following:
-Start their own computer/iPod recycling program.
-Negotiate with Apple to sell a special green iPod that donates money to the whales, or something.
-Research solutions for companies. I.E. alternative materials that are safe, and economical.
-Mabe even Apple would be interested in running a green peace campaign at their stores. You, know the type where you donate money at the register.
-Or you could have a really cool Whale symbol engraved in you iPod if you donate. (Money could go the the computer recycling program as detailed above).
